Come on, come on, come on, come on Come for me again Come for me And hold me up another day Will you still stand with me When I can't stand myself Will you still turn to me When I can't trust myself Will you leave before I leave? That's what I fear when I'm alone Let me be, let me be, let me be, let me go Let me stay, let me stay As my body's slowly breaking Let me stay, let me stay Will you still stand with me When I can't stand myself Will you still turn to me When I can't trust myself Will you leave before I leave? That's what I fear when I'm alone October 2019

Safety Belts 02:43
The children came back today After days and years Do you want me to go or stay? A fog that never clears Your grief won't lead you home Opening and closing the doors Drawings and spears Open windows on all floors A fog that slowly clears Let these hands lead you home January 2003

Unchained 03:09
You were born to the open Born to the plain Born of the forst You will be born again Let me set you free You will become unchained Unchained He is holding you down He is taking the right But I can break his hold I have a greater might Let the hammer fly And you will be unchained Unchained December 2012

The Cave 04:10
It’s like someone got out and saw what caused the shadows on the wall And now they’re back They’re back, and the inmates are rioting It’s no surprise, surely We all know how bad it is We just feel safer with the shadows on the wall Turning around… no, that’s not something we want to do, is it? But someone, probably many someones, did turn around – got up, got out They’ve really seen this world that we all already knew was there And finally, maybe, we are starting to believe them Our ears are pricking up. Our eyes are starting to wander Our jailers have built a strong prison for us They have had the time and the resources to lay deep foundations And raise thick, unyeilding walls They don’t want this to change They like the ”status quo”, as it’s called Who are they? Follow the money, follow the power, follow the selfishness It’s all right there to see One percent to rule them all, right? Now, one can only ever rule a people who consent to that rule Do not compromise with your dignity Stand up, turn around and walk out The exit is right there Run! June 2020

Down on Melancholy beach everyone is free To ask the sea To let them be Just what they always were Down on Melancholy beach everyone knows me Someone to hold Who knows the cold Of the wind when you have no fur Down on Melancholy beach you can ask the sea To carry your hurt To the end of the world But it will always come back again Down on Melancholy beach you should smell the breeze As the morning clears Accept your fears Turn back to land and then February 2016

about

A first foray into pop music containing songs about the fear of death, grief, murder, anti-capitalist agitation and depression.

It has been terrifying/liberating/eye opening to explore these new avenues of expression and learning so many new things along the way. I am very proud of these songs and I hope you enjoy them!

Dedicated to my friend, Aly McNab. Love you always.

In memoriam Margit Martinsson. I miss you.
